Discovering Our Collective Voice; Local Leadership for Early Childhood Success
We believe that families, schools and communities are partners in the rearing and education of our children. This is why our town and public school leadership have convened Hamden's Partnership for Young Children as a means to strengthen our efforts directed toward early childhood success for all our children.
Hamden's Partnership for Young Children Initiative seeks to rally the citizenry of Hamden, our colleagues and friends to discover our strengths and address our challenges in pursuit of safe, caring, and nurturing environments for young children at home, in the community and at school, in order to learn and realize their full potential.
Our Mission: The mission of Hamden's Partnership for Young Children is for families and the community to work together to plan, coordinate, and improve services for all children.
Our Goal: To ensure that our children are healthy, start school ready to learn, perform successfully in school, and have stable economically self-sufficient families so they may grow up to become productive, contributing members of society.
Through our collective efforts we seek to bring all constituencies together to develop leadership, to set goals, to advocate for policy changes, and to evaluate the effectiveness of current resources, programs, and services.
This Initiative is supported by the Graustein Memorial Fund, Hamden Public Schools, the Town of Hamden and United Way of Greater New Haven.
